Who remembers Anime Expo 2007?
Raise of hands?

Anyways, I’ll just come out and tell you guys that that was the first
time that I had been to ANY sort of anime convention…
You can guess that as a rabid anime/manga fan I was
completely…transfixed at everything.

The cosplay!
The people!
The cosplay!
The giant area!
The cosplay!
The MERCHANDISE! (Holy crap that stuff was awesome…)
And…THE C0$pl^Y!!!

O M G!!!

So, nearing AX in our car, Sharon suddenly noticed this person who
looked like Sasuke.
(It was Sai actually…- w -”)
I quickly turned around, noticed what was going on and started
screaming and pointing at random cosplayers.
Sharon did the same.

Here’s a bit how the conversation went….:
Sharon: O M G !!!11!1!1 Look! It’s Sakura!!!!
Me: O. M. G!1111!1oneoneone you’re right! Look, it’s a dude! He’s so
cool looking!
Sharon: OMG I KNOW!!!

When her dad dropped us off, so happy to get rid of us, I screamed as
I got out of the car and proceeded to continue pointing at people.
This one girl gave me a ‘WTF’ face.
She was cosplaying as well.
I decided to shut up and discuss in whispers with Sharon about the
utter awesomeness of the place.

At first, we just stared at everyone. Stared…
But we then realized that we needed to actually enter the convention
and its activities.
- o -”
We probably circled around for 15 minutes attempting to figure out
where to get our tickets.
We were running around like crazed ants who couldn’t find their hill. = __=”

When we finally got out cool pass thingies(shiny…) we walked in.
And holy crap….that was a lot of art. (Later I bought a piece of art
for $15…I still feel ridiculous)

The sad part about this whole adventure is that we didn’t know about
teh underground shopping area until a few hours to when we were
leaving.
And why the heck did they have to close it down so early in the day?
I didn’t understand that…

But overall, Sharon and I exchanged a better understanding of one another.
Sharon gets really grumpy when she’s hungry.
She now knows that I get impatient with her when she’s a sour puss to me.

= D

Hey, being crazy and having fun is what it’s all about.
I wonder what it’ll be like next year with our other friends…
